*    Boat people are rich because they can afford to pay people smugglers, and Indonesia should accept Muslim refugees.

People who arrive unauthorised are not "genuine" refugees

* 
Refugees will create unemployment and "steal" Australians’ entitlements.

 

* 
Boat people are "queue jumpers", stealing the places of "genuine" refugees waiting patiently in camps. 

 

* The atrocity in New York shows that Australia must stop allowing people from Afghanistan to enter the country "holus bolus".

 

 *    It is not safe to let asylum seekers into the community.


 * Australia is a "soft touch" because of its "generosity" to refugees.

 

*  Refugee detention centres are like holiday camps.


* Refugees cost too much, detentions is very expensive, the high security and remote locations of the the centres adds considerably to the coast. At $104,00 a day per head.

 

*   Australia has to get tough with people smugglers.

Russia is sending warships to Syria in an apparent show of strength in support of   President Bashar al-Assad. The move to defend Moscow’s interests in the strife-torn country came as a United Nations report revealed horrifying new details of children being tortured to death by Syrian government thugs.
