Settlement Assistance:
A.R.A settlement services offers help in addressing initial critical settlement needs of refugees. A.R.A involvement across these areas is as a go between, advocating and facilitating migrant needs with relevant Governmental departments and our NGO partners.
A.R.A provides services to address five essential settlement issues including housing, access to welfare support, employment, education and driving. A.R.A settlement services deliver support and assistance to refugees, address the community needs and enhance settlement services in Australia.
Housing: A.R.A works in partnership with local authorities and neighbourhood services to ensure the sensitive and appropriate accommodation of refugees. A.R.A also seeks to minimise homelessness amongst refugee communities by assisting with the provision of emergency and crisis accommodation.
Welfare Support: A.R.A assist with access to numerous welfare services by providing support with the various complexities of applying and receiving benefits. A.R.A also acts as a referral agency for newly arrived families and youth in need of various resources including furniture, books and home wares to help establish their new lives.
Employment: A.R.A facilitates pathways to employment for refugees by providing training, job searching support, and assistance with resume and interview preparation. A.R.A works directly with employment providers and seeks to assist refugees to  secure meaningful employment.
Education: A.R.A supports refugee communities to meet their educational needs by offering advice and personalised guidance about the various educational pathways available. A.R.A also runs a volunteer based homework & language support program aimed at assisting refugees.
Driving Project: A.R.A runs a driving projects to address the mobility needs of refugees by offering driver training and education, so as to enable refugee communities to obtain their driving permits and gain greater accessibility to the community.
